At Uploadcare, the Senior Technical Content Writer is an integral part of our marketing and software development teams, dedicated to producing high-quality technical content that resonates with our audience. This role involves creating compelling blog posts, guides, tutorials, website pages, and covering current trends that appeal to developer communities. We’re seeking a dynamic individual who marries a robust technical background with imaginative writing skills. As a Senior Writer, you will mentor junior tech writers and external contributors, steering our blog and website to become primary resources for both front-end and back-end developers.

To be successful in this role you need the following:
- Solid technical foundation, with experience as a Web Developer or in a similar role.
- 2-4 years of development experience, with expertise in front-end technologies like TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and one or more popular JavaScript frameworks.
- Proven track record of writing technical articles targeting developer audiences.
- Fluent in English, with impeccable writing and editing skills.
- Creative thinker able to generate innovative ideas for new content.
- Strong editing and proofreading abilities.
- Familiarity with development tools and platforms.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp complex technical topics.
- Up-to-date with the latest front-end and back-end development trends.
- Effective communicator and collaborator.
- Organized and deadline-driven.
- Understanding of SEO principles is beneficial.
- Interest in and understanding of Product-Led Growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft clear, concise, and engaging articles that address specific technical issues faced by developers.
- Develop supporting material such as demos and code snippets to enhance technical articles.
- Adhere to Uploadcare’s editorial calendar deadlines.
- Consistently produce 2-3 technical how-tos or similar content pieces weekly.
- Manage multiple articles and tasks efficiently, ensuring smooth progression through the production process.
- Foster strong relationships with the Uploadcare product engineering and customer success teams for insight and support.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of our target personas including front-end and back-end developers, and tech product managers, to tailor content effectively.
- Participate in product and engineering meetings to align content with upcoming releases and updates.
- Collaborate with internal developers, junior writers, and external contributors to structure and refine technical articles.
- Create visuals such as screenshots and screencasts to illustrate our products and features.
- Innovate with new content ideas to engage the developer community and expand our audience.
- Work closely with the marketing, development, and SEO teams to optimize content for maximum impact and reach.
