Your Role

The Director of Marketing will build and execute the company’s marketing strategy and operational plan, including setting go-to-market priorities and objectives, defining marketing tactics that will achieve our strategic goals, delivering self-service and sales-assisted revenue and MQL targets and reporting on marketing activity and value delivered.

The role will report to the CEO of Uploadcare and can work remotely (US and EU are preferred locales). Some meaningful travel is required – 10-15% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute the company’s marketing strategy and operational plan, including setting GTM and demand generation strategies in partnership with the sales, customer success and operational teams
  • Manage the company’s marketplace brand position, corporate identity and visual brand design system in partnership with the product organization
  • Manage and grow the self-service customer acquisition channel, including driving strategy and operational planning, owning and achieving our self-service new logo signup and bookings numbers, and leading the broader cross-functional team (product, engineering, ops, data) to align around our self-service goals and operational priorities
  • Manage and optimize our go-to-market technology stack and the processes and procedures that guide its use by marketing, sales, success, operations and finance
  • Build demand for Uploadcare’s file management solutions (including owning a marketing-generated pipeline and revenue number)
  • Drive our value messaging framework and product marketing strategies (including personas, use cases and Ideal Client Profile, sales enablement tools, ABM campaigns, field event marketing, tradeshows, and virtual events)
  • Lead our content marketing strategy and SEO initiatives to drive relevant organic traffic to our website (including blog, customer stories, profiles, webinars, podcasts, and videos that align with our keyword)
  • Lead our designers and design partners who drive the creative strategy and creative asset production for email engagement, social media, events, paid media, and campaigns
  • Build and manage our developer relations strategy to engage our developer communities, invest in the startup community, and continually look for ways to expand our brand awareness with the broader software developer market space
  • Collaborate with Tiugo partner team to build and expand Uploadcare’s partner strategy, including growing our technology partners and agency partners who resell Uploadcare as part of their projects
  • Oversee internal and external communications (including PR, social, speaking engagements and awards)
  • Lead our research and insights efforts to inform and influence our strategic growth planning
  • Manage and scale the marketing team, including hiring world-class talent, establishing measurement and performance metrics, and nurturing them to achieve continually high performance

Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B SAAS marketing, including strategy, planning, and execution against a pipeline and marketing-generated revenue goal
  • Understanding of modern web development landscape and developer behaviors, trends
  • Creative brand expert and innovative thinker experienced in building B2B and professional services brands that are well-known and loved
  • Skilled demand generation marketer able to create a data-driven messaging framework and activate it against all channels
  • Self-starter who can build a strategy, extend it to an operational plan, and manage their own projects and deadlines
  • Skilled manager who can build and lead a team of marketing experts who achieve great things
  • Extreme attention to detail, precise writing and presentation skills, and creative visual design skills
  • Deep data analytics and data processing skills – able to create empirical measurement and reporting and derive insights that drive strategy
  • Passion for building technology systems and processes from the ground up, oftentimes with limited existing structure – the ability to administer technology tools for multiple users
  • Flexibility and eagerness to be part of a dynamic startup environment
